Just upgraded to a 9-3SE '98 model last weekend. It was losing coolant like mad - half a tank over a short run but no visible signs of leakage! At the invaluable advise of our fellow member, I re-torqued the head bolts. loosen one at time, torque to 60Nm and then an extra 90 degree(quarter turn). A few bolts were like loose change! However, this has cured the problem without any further loss of coolant. Takes about 45 minutes or so! Well worth the effort! Used the same cam cover gasket without any problem but best to change. Good Luck!
