In a previous post, i went through the discovery of a small amount of coolant in the DIC well or cavity, especially in the hole where the 4th spark plug is secured.

Over the past several days, I've driven the car, checked for oil/coolant contamination and even passed the Georgia emissions test.

During that time, the amount of coolant I found has gone done (never was
more than a wetting of surfaces.

The last place I found a trace of coolant was on the tip of the spark plug
(top) and in the port tat goes over the spark plugh. In both cases,
only the 4th plugh and port were slightly wet.

Today, there was no trace of the coolant on the plug and only a bit deep inside the port where contact is made with the top of the plug for ignition.

I figure someone accidently spilled straight coolant onto the DIC and some of it leached into the DIC and around it into the cavity or well.

That's why I was curious if there was supposed to be a rubber gasket
for the underside of the DIC where it touches the engine.

I have ruled out a leak in any gasket or seal ahving to do with the coolant system because of where I found the coolant and the fact the
"leak" is slowly going away.

Car is running great with new NGK lugs and new fluids Straight Highway driving turned in a 35 mpg readout. Much mor than I expected.

Thanks,

Frank
