Earlier this year I got a set of stock sized 215/55-16s for my wife's 9-5 Linear Sportcombi. They are H rated, treadwear warranty 55k miles, and made in the USA. They replaced a set of Nokian WRs that strangely hadn't lasted very long and had gotten horribly noisy. The Altimax ride is good, noise level reduction dramatic, and we found the tires' hydroplaning resistance in heavy downpours to be excellent. After about 10k miles the ride is still quiet and wet traction is still good.
They were good enough (and reasonably priced) so that I just sprang for a set of stock sized 195/60-15s for my OG 9-3. Once again they replaced a set of WRs that had gotten noisy at the end of their tread life. These HPs are V-rated, warranted for 40k miles, and made in France (perhaps in Continental's factory there). As you might expect, good turn-in and a little stickier in the corners, though like the H rateds they are not a super high performance tire and there are likely other tires with stiffer sidewall characteristics. Again, very quiet at speed and great wet traction.
The big unknown to me is how well they'll do in the winter. I obviously do NOT expect them to match the Nokians in ice and snow performance; but Saabs do well in the mild winters we have even with less dedicated snow tires. They were also about 1/2 the cost of the Nokians at current exchange rates.
