As Darren pointed out there is no clutch cable on your model.
However if your Brake/Clutch fluid reservior has gotten low, the clutch will be the 1st system to get air in it. This would also produce a mushy feeling clutch pedal with what seems like a lot of free play before firm resistance is felt. If you get lucky all you will need is to have the system flushed and bled. A bad clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder will also produce this effect. The slave is integral with the throw out bearing, and would mean transmission removal. If that's the case, it would makes sense to change the clutch disk, pressure plate, throw out bearing, and input shaft seal for the transmission at the same time.
If you havent been doing the required brake/clutch fluid flush every few years the system may have degraded and require major repair.
It's also possible the pressure plate itself has broken to cause this.
I think it is pretty likely you problem is limited to the clutch though, and is not a transmission failure.
