Hello,

2002 9-2 SE HOT with Nordic Stage 3, 3 inch downpipe, stock exhaust(had saab stainless sport exhaust but it was too loud).

Finally getting around to this. ECU upgrade installed about 8 months ago but my driving's mainly been puttering about town so it hasn't been a priority.

Had a few highway miles this last week though and power was inconsistent.

Second gear lasts about a second - huge acceleration, I think all is well at that point.

Shifting from 2nd to thid though is almost like putting on the brakes. TCS is off, but it just doesn't spool up very fast at all, eventually gets up to speed but then *hunts* around.

Is it possible that the ECU has to *re-learn* its capabilities? I remember reading a few things about that. Maybe I just need to put three or four WOT runs through the gears?

Also, I realize that things would be better with something more free-flow than the stock muffler, but I have also read that the 3" downpipe should be enough (i do not have the mid-muffler installed).

Ideas, suggestions?
