IIRC, the '94-'97 NG 900 2.0 turbo cars use FM55 501 transmissions with the clutch cable and the '98 and up use FM55 503 with the hydraulic clutch. The downside is that the hydraulic pedal upgrade is around $550, unless you can get one at a junk yard, plus cutting the holes in the firewall for the hydraulic master cylinder. GenuineSaab has the pedal kits and they also have a compatability chart which lists the transmission codes. I've got a transmission sitting in the garage waiting to go back in the '97 900 SET. FWIW, I have read that 9000 transmissions won't work due to a longer bell housing... Ron
