I have been so caught up with the hard things, that I bypassed the thought of a $20 relay! Mechanic tried to start it, wouldn't. Fuel pump checked out, so he noticed the relay had not been clicking. Replaced the relay, and boom, started right up. Tried it again yesterday and started right up again. Gonna check today once more, and I should be able to pick it up.

Was able to get it to the mechanic - it sat from Wednesday to Monday. I had tried the CPS, a new DIC, the pump had just been replaced in August or September (was able to "jump" the pump to run), and the ignition switch does not show signs of failure (flashing dash lights). Yet, the car still would not start, or would start intermittently.

Finally gave up on my DIY solutions, and we began to tow it (tow-strap off truck). A block and a half later, I was able to pop the clutch, and the car ran fine, all 20 miles to the mechanic. So, kind of lucky there.

I had searched and searched here, but missed a post or two, one from 2007 that indicated to first try the relay. Of course, it is not under the bonnet, but buried under the dash, behind the fuse panel. Even still, it would have been definitely something DIY if I had known/thought to try.

Just thought I would give a follow-up in case anyone is reading (maybe via search). Thanks to Anders and William for comments. Thanks to Pat Leary Motor Cars who is recommended if you need help in Buffalo, despite not being Saab specialists!
