Thanks for the follow ups. I guess my car is not so far out of line. It may be due for new O2 sensors anyway at 93K??!!!
One person asked about the downside to E10. Ethanol (E10) is nothing short of a fiasco for automobile and marine motors. Besides loosening up gunk in the tank or lines requiring more frequent fuel filter changes, lesser fuel economy is the result. In my non-turbo 9000, E10 resulted in highway mpg dropping from 32 mpg to about 27 mpg or 29 if I was lucky. City fuel economy also dropped.
In marine motors, it is not fun to have one's motor conk out on the ocean. In older boats, fuel tank seals are eaten away. It is especially bad with fiberglass fuel tanks. Ethanol fuel is a scam for Midwest farmers/large corporations and pitched as being "green" etc. European countries are wisely backing off from this requirement and some States are looking at the outcomes.
