Hello I just wanted to inform you all I had bought a 98 Ng900S convertible three weeks ago. I had the clutch slipping and since it was my first car I wasn't sure what to make of it. Considering I drove less than 1000 miles before the clutch was burnt. This isn't a speedy 900 car due to the non turbo but it holds its own being manual and 2.3l. I have a couple options to enhance the power and fun like Intake and Exhaust. I love my car and can't wait to get it back from the shop today.
The dealer who sold me the car at KBB price of excellent took some responsibility to the burnt clutch and also found a leaking water pump three weeks after selling it to me. He replaced the clutch and the water pump which was the cause of my radiator leak. The clutch is not genuine saab but a Sachs (Sachs Clutch - Model # PFS903366 Equivalent to Saab part number 4614004). I'm not sure what type of water pump was used. He said he would take care of the waterpump free of charge and do my clutch parts/labor for $500. I'm going to pick it up today and have a working clutch for a LOT longer than three weeks.
