NG900 Alternator Pulley

Today was the day to replace the alternator (almost!). Went the bottom out route based on the advice received from my previous post. All went well until it was time to take the pulley off the old alternator. It would not budge and remains in place.
The nut came off quickly with a deep 24mm socket and an electric impact gun. We purchased it to make winter tire changeover on three Saabs go quicker and it has really come in handy.
So I thought I was home free. We tried the following methods to remove the pulley:
Put belt around the pulley and lock it tightly in a bench vice and used a torx bit in the impact wrench. No movement.
Next tried maple wedges between the pully and the alternator. Nothing.
Then came the gear puller with no success.
So it looks like it's time to order a pulley unless someone has any other suggestions to try.
Just one tip to add for those trying this adventure. I used a craftsman 8mm 3/8" drive allen socket to remove the alternator bolts. This design has the allen insert snap in place which means that the insert sticks in the bolt and pulls out of the socket upon removal. I did not have the insert to fit. If you need to buy an 8mm allen to do this job get one that has a set screw to hold the insert in place. The SK allen sockets I have use this feature.
Any advice on the pulley removal would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
