Yes, you need the amp that is located in the kick panel. You also need the special cable that goes from the radio to the amp.
the amp has two other plugs, power and what I assume to be line out to the speakers. They both look like the standard car plug ins. One is green and one is black. You'd have to pop off the panel to see if those plugs are pre wired.
You can find stock amps cheap. I've got one if you are interested. Maybe speakers too.
