Waterpump replacement amongst other things

I was replacing the distributor in my 94 Saab 900S and I noticed a puddle of coolant by the radiator. I started the engine and noticed that it looked like there were small droplets of coolant being slung from the waterpump. Now I could be wrong since most of the lower engine is covered in oil. The Saab doesn't overheat or anything; there IS a coolant leak. I don't think that the radiator is bad. Originally the Saab was misfiring pretty bad. Inspection of the old distributor revealed that it was leaking oil internally. I replaced the bad distributor with a good one. The misfiring has gotten better, but I think the wires and plugs need to be replaced as well since the symptoms seems to come and go especially when idling at a stop. If that doesn't fix it, then perhaps it may be time to visit the mechanic on that one. I am curious as to how difficult it is to replace the waterpump myself. From reading on here; its better to just get the Saab waterpump vs the Hepu pump. My mechanic wants $529.00 plus tax to replace the waterpump, thermostat, and valve cover gasket. I could get the parts including coolant for $238.09 from Eeuroparts. I have read that the waterpump can be a pain in the *** to get to. I have done some previous work on cars before, so I am not oblivious to working on them.
