Hey Folks,

Got a strange problem that I need some help/opinions on...

'98 900 SE 2.0 Turbo 139K miles

After engine comes up to operating temp, I'll be at a stop light with the engine idling happily at 1000 RPM. Then without warning or hesitation, the engine just stops, no stumble or sputter just dies as cleanly as if I turned the ignition off. After reseting the ignition the car starts right back up as if it never happened. No Check Engine Light is set and It drives perfect until it does it again.

Once it stalled and the engine seemed to catch itself and come right back to idling normally
Once after a stall I thought I caught a hint of rich exhaust, could have been a vehicle around me in traffic.

It's been doing this for the past three days
Gas level is around a quarter tank and heading for empty
Never does this when the engine is below normal operating temp
Never sets a Check Engine Light
The outside temp has been mid 30's to upper 50's
I am at sea level
Not every stop, just random.
Not dependent on hard driving, acceleration or gentle driving
No stumbling, sputtering, hesitation, loss of power, nothing other than random stalling at idle
Not dependent on engine load (all accessories on or off and still does it)
Only happens at idle

Any help or suggestions would be great. I am going to see if a new tank of gas makes any difference (bad gas?). Also thinking about a fuel system cleaner, but the stall is so sudden and clean that I tend to think this is more ignition system related...

Thanks in advance!
