Exhaust Clamp differences between brands - rust

About a year and a half ago, I replaced the front and rear muffler on my '99 9-3. At the time, I ordered Bosal mufflers and Bosal clamps. I did not replace the mid pipe/flex pipe as it was ok at the time.
Fast forward to two weeks ago. The clamp holding the flex pipe to the catalytic blows out and needs to be replaced. I run down to the local parts store who happens to have the correct Walker clamp in stock. Clamped it up only to realize the flex pipe is cracked as well because of rust (original clamp completely rusted through).
I order the Starla flex along with Scan Tech clamps from Eeuro.
Went under there, and to my surprise, the Walker clamp is completely covered with surface rust after only two weeks.
Here's a comparison pic. The one on the left is the Bosal that was installed about a year and a half ago, the one on the right is the Walker installed just 2 weeks ago. You can see that the Bosal does not even have surface rust on the outside, and a little on the inside where it contacts the exhuast. The Walker is surface rusted completely on the inside and outside - BIG DIFERENCE IN GALVANIZING QUALITY!
Another note. The Bosal had welded nuts like the OEM clamps. The Walker and Scan Tech used separate nuts. I hope the Scan Techs prove a little better than the Walkers...
