No, I don't think it's a fluid issue because it was there long before I replaced with Royal Purple. Before that, it was just factory fluid as I'm 99% sure that fluid has never been changed. If it had been changed it would have been many miles ago and years and before I owned the car. Thing is, the reverse problem just started popping up about 6 months ago.
I can't help but think it's some sort of linkage issue at this point as every so often the car will go into reverse no problem. When I look at that linkage moving and the slop in it, I think it must not be hitting the reverse right. I'll try the adjustment again as suggested by putting it in reverse and such.
