I just replaced the bearing. Once I got the bracket off, (the hard part), the bearing came out relatively easy. The bearing had a slight rough spot. Hardly seemed bad enough to cause the vibration. I bought the bearing from SAAB, though I think eeuroparts now caries it. You might want to think about replacing the alternator while the bracket and shaft are out!
Here are the steps I found on the internet:
I can send some drawings if you send me email. - wayne
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the drive shaft on the righthand side.
3. Remove the lower alternator bolt (1).
4. Twist the alternator outwards slightly (2).
5. Undo the support bearing bracket retaining bolts (3).
IMPORTANT: Place a receptacle under the gearbox to collect the oil that will run out.
6. Move the support bearing bracket off the locating studs on the engine block (4) and withdraw the intermediate shaft from the gearbox.
7. Clamp the intermediate shaft in a vice.
8. Remove the large circlip securing the bearing in the support bearing bracket (5).
9. Press the bearing out of the housing with the intermediate shaft, using puller 87 91 287 (6).
10. Remove the O-ring and circlip securing the bearing on the shaft (7).
11. Press the bearing off the intermediate shaft, using puller 87 91 287.
