This is not your typical cigarette style FM modulator...WAY BETTER. I've been using for 5 months with little/no complaints.
You need to pull the radio so you can get to back for install, but that is no big deal. This plugs in line with your antenna so no messy soldering. Some people complain about sound quality. I found the right EQ setting on my ipod and it sounds real nice. Plus, this is all inexpensive.
This set up has RCA cables coming from the modulator. From that you can buy an RCA to stereo headphone jack so that you can hook a generic MP3 player. I bought the RCA to ipod connector (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WUH5A6/ref=ox_ya_oh_product). When I have my Ipod plugged in, it is charging. Nice little feature.
Only problem is that you need to install an on/off switch. It comes with the package. I the switch in my in my glove box. I just throw my ipod in there when I want to listen to radio. You need the switch because modulator works by overpowering a selected radio station. It is so powerful that it overpowers almost all radio stations.
Really, I think its the best and quickest way to go. I did alot of checking around on this topic. Granite Embedded would have been the best choice but he closed up shop.
