Pulleys, belt, and a new tensioner comes to about $170 (at eEuro) for good quality stuff, not Scan Tech. Just priced this cuz I have to do this job on the car I'm getting later this month.
Labor rate is about what I'd expect. Remember, shops calculate labor from the instant the job is started--when the tech picks up the repair order. Most of us only figure the time with the wrench in our hands.
Whatever, but methinks you were hosed on parts costs. But then I paid $700 to have a fuel pump done on my 9K in January. It was -5 degrees F out and I had no time anyway. Sometimes it just works that way!
