1999 saab viggen
I purchased the car and the previous owner had done the aux mod very similar to what seth evans did at http://www.sethevans.com/solder.html the differences are using an third seat heater switch to activate telephone mode, and splitting the input into two channels, shorting tel mute and ground at the wiring harness, and cutting one additional trace as in germans mod. http://gatoalfa.calipso.com.co/radioMod/big/radioMod1.jpg the trace that was cut was the one in the top right corner. However we jumpered the trace and there was no difference.
The problem is when I connect the mp3 player it is very very quiet, I go faster than 5mph and can't hear the radio. It seems as if the signal isn't being amplified and the speakers are being driven by the mp3 player. Have tried multiple mp3 players (sandisk and ipod touch) to no avail. Any ideas on what it could be
