how do I tell when I need to replace the rotor? Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sat, 18 Jul 2009 20:56:55 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
It's a 2001 Viggen, with 35k miles. There is a little bit of life, not much left in the pads. It seems that in the outer edge of the rotors, it has been worn, slightly curved in. Car has never been driven in the winter, so they have no rust. Should I just replace them with the pads, or will the new pads wear into to surface of the current rotor? I don't know what's best to do. I figure just do them all together...but if there is a good way to check them, I'll do that.
Thanks, Bender.
PS. Just did this on my 2000 SE...they were warped and rusted. But this car is driven in the winter.
