need help with smoke and coolant loss diagnosis

hi all,
I have a 2001 9-3 with 125k miles on it and recently it started to puff white and blue smoke at startup and for the first min. or so of driving. it is getting progressively worse.
I am trying to figure out if it is a head gasket or the turbo- here is what I have done so far:
-tested coolant for exhaust gas- positive
-no coolant in oil that I can find (even pulled off valve cover and still no milkshake present)
-losing about 1 cup (8- 12oz) of coolant per day
-the cold side of the turbo (towards intercooler) has lots of oil residue in it but for some reason no signs of coolant mixing with the oil
- all plugs look the same and when I shine a light down into the combustion chambers they are all equaly dirty and carbon filled- none has the traditional "clean spots"
- checked throttle body and it looks very very clean- normally this would be suspect since I would expect to see carbon buildup but I am not sure if saab has this same issue.
-I performed the head bolt re-torque fix but it had no possitive effect
so here come my questions:
- does the saab turbo have a seal in it for the coolant passage? I ask bec. I am trying to figure out if this is why I am getting ehaust gas in the coolant (normally this would be a sure sign of a head gasket)
- is it common for a saab turbo failure to also have coolant loss associated with it?
- any ideas on what else I should check?
