So bleeding made no difference today again with my clutch. Same as usual. Clutch is down to the floor and it's still not disengaging fully.
Looking around on saabsite.com found this note about the clutch pedal and bushings.
Quote:
To determine clutch pedal wear, simply touch the clutch pedal lightly and determine the distance before you come in contact with firm resistance from the master cylinder. The resistance from the pedal should be immediate. If not, replace the clutch pedal. Severe pedal travel may indicate a need for clutch master cylinder replacement as well.
I basically have what feels like an inch and a half to two inches of free play before I feel any pressure.
So I went looking for better photos of the pedal assembly and to try and find the location of said bushings but no luck. EPC is vauge looking and it's hard to match it up with DIP's photo's as they don't provide the best angles.
I changed out my master cylinder earlier this summer so this is about the last place to try.
So the questions I have are:
* Can the clutch pedal and its bracket be removed separately from the master cylinder and its bracket? I'd really appreciate not having to rebleed the clutch line if I can.
* How hard is it to replace the bushings. It notes that there are 2 per car?
* Would the clutch pedal itself also need to be changed with the bushings?
* Does anybody have a spare hydro clutch pedal sitting about that they could take more pictures off and possibly disassemble to help answer these questions?
Thanks.
