I had a scare a few weeks ago. After driving 119 miles to the marina (it's 120 miles total) on a 2-way 45 mph road, a rather large truck approached me in the oncoming lane. As it passed, I saw the driver's window was open, then saw this rock coming from above. It hit my side of the windshield about an inch up from the hood. It scared the s**t out of me. The rock seemed to be around 1" in diameter, left 3 marks in the windshield, but didn't crack it. Since then I have been wary of anyone driving with the drivers side window open in the oncoming lane. I am 95% sure that he tossed a rock out with his right hand while steering with his left. It was a shiny new truck with some sort of tank on the back, and since the area around the marina is not very large, I keep looking for that truck and it's driver... Ron
