Broken Pulley - Mounting Sheared

Well, I pulled my car out of the garage this morning and turned it off while I ran inside to get my coffee. When I went to restart it and drive to work the steering was stiff and I noticed that the charging light was illuminated. Figuring this to be a broken serpentine belt I popped the hood and confirmed my suspicion, only to find that one of the pulleys was lying at an odd angle. It did not take long to figure out that the pulley's mounting bracket had sheared off.
The car is a 2001 9-3 SE convertible and the pulley is slightly above and forward of the alternator. I would attach pictures if I knew how to do this, but I am trying to get a handle on an estimated cost for a repair. It seems like the engine part that this is attached to is bolted on somewhere and my hope is that this is doable without causing me to scrap the car.
I would be glad to post pictures if I knew how to do that within this forum.
