To replace this p/steering line you do need to remove the bumper. I do about one of these a week lately, so I guess I am the voice of experience. First soak the line connection under the battery box with P/B Blaster. In about 20 mins you can have the center grille, park lights, headlights, front bumper & lower rock shields removed. You then have to remove the turbo intercooler, sometimes the clamps can be a problem if they are rusty. 1/4 inch extentions help here. You will have to unbolt the engine oil cooler from it's radiator mounting(3 screws w/8mm heads). Flip it up out of the way (do not disconnect it!)and secure it lightly with a bungee cord. Once you are here the line is right in front of you, undo it from the pump, unclip the 2 clips on the front crossmember. The connection under the battery box is a 16mm nut, and they give you a 13mm place to hold the line. Once unbolted pull the battery box side out first, there are some plastic shields you need to get out of the way and then you can fish the line out. Assembly is the reverse of all this, hope this helps. Coldshot............
