Yes, I was happy with the manual cable I had on my 1996 900s before I sold it. I can understand why SAAB went with the self-adjusting cable vs manual because they wanted to avoid having to do an adjustment every year or so as the clutch wears. If you are a DIY type person this should not be an issue and you can adjust the clutch pedal to your liking. If you go with the manual cable don't use the support arm as this will force the cable to operate at a severe angle and increase wear.
I have been happy with RMEuropean as an alternitive source for parts but they are locaed in Colorado.
