Hi!
I am not sure you are replacing the good part. I had the same problem as you but it was related to the headlight switch. When the switch was at full right position, the transmission would go into the limp mode. So, I left the switch at the full left position.

Then last winter, the headlight wouldn't go on. Restaring the car many times until the headlight would come on. I then decided to change the ignition switch (at minus 25 C but sunny). The headlight problem was solved but the dashboard light are still coming on and off. At first, a gentle tap on the dashboardover the headlight switch would solved the problem. But now, I have to hit pretty hard to get those dashboard light come on.

So this wek or the next I will change the headlight switch. Hopefully, it will solved the dashboard light problem and the limp mode.
