Surging/Hesitation gone with cold weather?

I've been dealing with a surging, hesitation, and uneven idle for quite awhile now on my 01 Viggen. After trying a variety of fixes, (plugs, new MAF, cleaned air filter, new vac lines, cleaned TB, etc.) I finally broke down and bought a new throttle body as it seemed that was the last thing to try. I haven't installed it yet because within the last two weeks, the issue seems to have disappeared. Temps are in the 30s and 40s now and I was wondering if that might have something to do with it? I just don't want to install a $425 part if it's not necessary...but I can't say I did anything to fix the issue as I was still having the issue after I replaced everything from above. Only change I can think of is the weather. Any other ideas? Thanks.
