The same thing has just begun to happen to my '00 9-3 SE 153k. A few weeks ago the brake light came on with a chime bell after going around corners and braking heavily. I got DOT4 brake fluid, topped it off and it went away. Now (and I don't know if this has anything to do with it) that the weather has dipped into the freezing temps, it's doing it again. The brake lights (and chime) come on going downhill and off going uphill. I checked the brake fluid level and it's likely been overfilled, due to my liberal brake fluid addition(s). Any tips? I see someone else posted (with the same yr and model as mine) that the dealer told him to replace ABS sensor for $3,000 and that was supposed to fix the problem, but I simply cannot afford that at present. Do I need to bleed the brakes? Is this typical after 150k? This is my first Saab, 2nd car ever.
Thanks for the board and in advance for any helpful comments.
