O2 sensor or SID display problem?

Hi,

The car been to the garage many time since Christmas. This was an intermittent problem. It was really hard to start hot or cold. The tech told me to deconnect the car computer wait a few second and replug it and it worked. On day, I got a check engine light. It was a slow response from the O2 sensor. The tech cleared the code and it never showed again.

One day, I disconnected the computer and reconnected it. The SID showed a gas consumption of 165l/100kms !! Looked for a missing pixel but there is no place for that pixel. I changed the coolant temoerature sender (at manifold). It fixed (up to now) the starting problem. But the SID display a consumption between 85 l to 165 l/100 kms. The car is running OK, the gas tank last as long as before.

So what is the problem?
