You should be able to see if you have the wire harness under the seat. Which would require pulling the seat out. You might need the harness to the seat and a wiring diagram but it is doable. Actually, you might only need a hot wire from anywhere.
I am 99% positive that you can just exchange the seats by changing the mechanism that rides on the rails.
While you have the seat out might be worth lifting up the leather and putting something in there to reinforce the leather. Duct tape comes to mind. Though it depends where on the seat it splits. The wires that hold the cover to the foam can be a bear.
