As I mentioned, this hose is quite durable; it does not degrade like other hoses might. I honestly can't understand how the only other hoses that are associated with the crankcase are only subjected to vacuum pulling vapors out of the crankcase through a check valve, can contribute to clogged debris in the crankcase. In the case of turbocharged models, this vacuum is generated by the turbo itself, so this debris you speak of would have to pass through the compressor wheel, and ultimately through the combustion chamber; any hose debris, especially if it's enough to contribute to a clogged oil pick-up screen, passing over the compressor wheel would abrade the wheel pretty badly.
