Moonroof not exactly working perfectly.

The moonroof will get "stuck" when I try to close or open it sometimes. It's inconsistent and I have no idea why it happens... I can hear a faint whirring from the motor when it doesn't work, but when it does work, it's perfect. Any tips? Seems like it may just have to be cleaned? Something might be stuck? The motor that controls it will eventually close it just fine.. Arg. Thanks guys.
