Rear Brake Lights

I just put my '90 TC back on the road after being idle for the past 5 months and I have a problem with the right rear brake lights - they're inoperable. When I apply the brake, they do not work and I sometimes get a "glow" on the instrument panel for the right side only....sometimes, but not always. Years ago, I had that glow with both indicators and rigged a ground wire on the left side and that solved the problem, but now its the right side only. Seeing that the ground worked once before, I grounded the right side, however, it didn't work and sometimes the right indicator glows. In addition, the right turn signals blink rapidly whereas the left side remains normal.
I remember years ago on my American cars I would replace the turn signal flasher unit (a miniature-sized aluminum can near the fuse block) to solve rapid blinking or indicator glow on the dash and this would solve the problem. Does the 900 have such a unit? I looked at Europarts' web site under the exterior body electrical category and found nothing.
Thanks for any help.
