My 98 900SE Turbo is running hot. Originally, I discovered a hose leaking antifreeze, o I had it replaced. Drove away and within blocks, the engine was hot again. I returned back to the mechanic and he stated it had to to be the thermostat. So I ought the thermostat, he replaced and the car is still running hot. My trusted mechanic is out of state and said it sounds like the engine block has air trapped inside and needs to be bled to remove. He asked if the other mechanic had drained the coolant from the engine - WHICH HE DID NOT.
I cannot locate the "bleeder" valve or screw to drain the coolant from the engine block. Can someone please tell me where this valve is located or what it looks like? My mechanic said that it should be located somewhere near the upper radiator hose on the engine block but I cant seem to find it.
Can someone please help me out?
