I did my first brake job last fall, and it's a pretty straightforward.
I would agree with nwas though, calipers may be done, that's what I found with my '97. They're a two-piston design, and I hadn't looked closely in a while, found out my inner piston had siezed up and I was only braking on the outside of the disc.
That added considerable time to my R&R because I had to go out and get the rebuilt calipers also... even with that, I was done in 5 hours, and I'd never done much more than exhaust systems and fluid changes before.
Take your time, use the right tools (I got a socket driven torx for the rotor bolt), and it's straightforward.
