Repair and recharge are two separate issues. That being said, if your system was completely out, it should have been a red flag to whoever did the recharge to check for leaks. But then again, if you paid for a recharge, they may have just assumed you knew there were no leaks as some loss of refrigerant over a prolonged time is typical. Diagnosis may be a separate charge since it usually entails injecting a UV dye along with refrigerant and looking for evidence of leaks with a UV light.
Also, whoever recharged your system should have, at minimum, checked for vacuum hold (evacuate the system and wait awhile to make sure it holds the vacuum), though if it took a month to lose enough refrigerant to run warm again, it may be slow enough to not have been noticed.
Too many variables to really say. For example, it might be low on refrigerant, or it just may be a whole host of other issues as well, such as a bad compressor, blown fuse, if yours is an ACC system, that throws a lot of possible wrenches in to the possibilities.
