Maybe some shims were not replaced when the left side bearing cover/seal was replaced? Shims come in 0.10, 0.15, 0.30 and 0.50 mm thicknesses. You can try adding thin shims back until play is mostly gone. If you add too many, and bearing binds, remove the last shim, install left cover/seal with remaining shims, and press differential back to the driver side to move the left hand bearing cup back out. A less likely possibility is the roller bearing cage on the differential right side has cracked or stretched. Replacing these bearings requires total tranny disassembly.
