Unfortunately it is not as easy anymore and your logic might be fighting the cars built in logic.
The fuel computer has the last say in if to turn on the A/C compressor or not.
If you bypass the A/C compressor relay making it run, that doesn't necessarily means the fuel computer will suddenly say, ok it's up and running I better turn on the fans.
He might revert back to, I haven't given any ok to turn on the compressor.
Seen 2001, a space odyssey? Think of the line, what are you doing, I won't allow you to do that.
That's what you are trying, over riding the built in logic in Trionic.
The link you have is a post for a 96 900 which is not identical to a 99 9-3 so all talk might not be correct for your car.
I'm very suspicious about that it suddenly died with installing the glove compartment so I think you should ones again try to see if you disturbed something.
A Tech 2 scanner might give some answers since it might be a fault code if something is disconnected but also it is possible to read many different values in the Trionic to see if all logics are satisfied.
I think my best answer is to spend a few bucks on a WIS cd for your car, read up on the subject and what tickles its fancy and go from there.
