post. So, I just sold the racks that I bought for the 9000 today (they are still at the post office). I always do things like these to myself, but I searched roof racks on ebay in the UK and I saw someone selling one and says they fit the 9000 AND the 9-3, exactly as the instructions state.
Now, I tried the racks and they were too long, they did not fit. My guess was that, the racks for the 9-3 were made to be retrofittable to the 9000, but the racks made FOR the 9000 (back when the 9-3 was NOT in existence) were not able to be fit to the 9-3.
Thing is, though from the picture in the auction, it looks as though the adjuster knob can be pulled out??? Look in the picture....I never did that when I had the racks, leading me to think if I had pulled on it I'd have been able to make it fit?
I assume you knew about this when posting, just double checking....cause if by pulling on that knob I can fit the racks, I had better go to the post office and get em back!
