It was the gas.
I had filled up with a 94 octane gas but it was 10% ethanol. I usually do not use this brand of gas but I'm pretty sure I had before but maybe never in the cold so never noticed how much my car hates it.
Emptied the tank and put in a tank of 94 octane Chevron gas with no ethanol and it starts up like always.
