The main reason the cables break is that the clutch itself gets too stiff
while replacing the clutch, replaced the collar and the t.o. bearing, wipe out the white grease that is in there and use a different lubricant, we have used cv grease.Whan you put it back together you will notice tha tthe clutch is soooo much easier to depress. the cable lasts for a long time after that. If you just replace the cable you will notice it is very stiff, the cable will break after a much shorter time
