Driving back home over the holidays, while on the interstate going 70, my TCS OFF and check engine lights suddenly came on. there was no perceptible change in power. i pulled off the interstate and checked my gas cap (was on tight), and then got back on the road. pulled off at the next exit and found an O'Reilly Auto Parts shop. asked the fellow about reading the codes. he said he could try, but he felt he wouldn't be able to give me any clue about the TCS OFF code, as he could only read emissions codes. i got back in the car, and the idle seemed rough (too low). back on the interstate, the car ran at full power, and i made it home fine. i DID check this forum while parked at the auto parts place, and read that my Cruise control probably wouldn't work (it didn't), and that i might lose power (that didn't happen) with the car going into "limp home" mode. The next day my car wouldn't start. The engine would start to turn over, but then would sputter and die. we 'reset' things by disconnecting the battery. test drove the car after this and it ran fine. the lights didn't come back during the test drive. the NEXT day i had to make a trip back to my folks' house for business (175 miles one way), and i decided to try the Saab again. about five minutes into my trip the same lights came on, but the car ran fine (70-75 mph on the interstate). the next day, the idle at start up was pretty rough, but once back on the road, it ran fine. today, when i started the car, the idle was again too low and rough. Before i head to the indy Saab guy, i thought I would ask if you folks feel it's probably a failing ABS sensor that needs to be replaced (i will probably opt for a re-manufactured one), or if there's something else i might need to check. the Saab in question is a 2002 9-3 SE Conv that just hit 51k miles. it sits WAY too much in the drive as i bike and walk more than drive these days. Thanks for your time and any info you might offer. kps
