Guys, I had this same problem and I just fixed it, here's how:
1. Go buy some DIN radio removal tongs. These should cost about 5 bucks.
2. Insert them into the holes on the front of the radio and pull the radio out.
3. Disconnect all the wires and bring the radio inside.
4. Pull the volume knob off.
5. Im not sure if its necessary, but I removed the top and bottom steel covers of the radio, since this makes it easier to take the face off. Its only 3 screws total for top and bottom.
6. Carefully pry back the 4 plastic tangs and pull the radio face off.
7. Look at the back of the face. You will see a square plastic connector where the face plugs into the rest of the radio. Follow the LED power traces to the connector to see which pins go to the lights. On my unit, the upper right pin which powers the LEDs had lifted from the board.
8. Resolder the pin onto the board.
9. Reassemble radio.
10. Reinstall radio into car.
This took about 2 hours total to do.
