De-Icing my Viggen

I've done a lot of searching (here and google) and couldn't find anything that said this was ok, or not ok, so I went ahead and tried it, to my success!

Here in NC we got hammered with a 1/2" of ice overnight. My car was encased. Luckily work gave me the day off :) But in the meantime, I pulled the bottle of RainX 2-in-1 and put some of it into a spray bottle and just sprayed the entire car all over and the ice started to crack in under a minute. This wasn't even de-icing windshield fluid, but it does say it's good to -25F.

I can't think of any bad side effects that this would have on the car...

Also, I had a motorized spray bottle, so that was convenient for spraying for copius amounts of time.

Just thought I would share and hopefully help someone else out next time this happens.
