Depends on how much money you put into the rebuild. If you try and have the engine rebuilt doing the bare minimum, you will get far fewer miles from it, than if you have it rebuilt the "right way".
A full complete rebuild would leave you with what is essentially a new engine, from which you would be able to expect the same type of life as a new motor.
You might look at getting a used, running, engine form somewhere to install in your car, perhaps cheaply. It would get the card back running, leaving a space engine to rebuild at your leisure.
