I am currently rebuilding a garrett t25 from a 1999 9-3. The kit I purchased does not contain a washer and spring ring for the turbine side. I didnt see one when I took it apart or an oil deflector!? How important are these to the turbo? There is definitely a groove next to the oil seal ring groove that is vacant. It was leaking from the exhaust side and there really wasnt a lot of play in the shaft. So, I am wondering if I really need to make sure to put those pieces in. I did just purchase the 360 oil seal. Any suggestions on where to get these parts and how important they are. I see them in the kit at saab performance, but I really dont want to spend 130 dollars on a whole kit!
Also, does anyone have hints and tricks to getting the oil seal in, it doesnt seem to just "snap" in for me. I tried tapping it in with a hammer, and it bent the ring out of shape.
