I think there were two boxes in the back that might weigh 3 lbs but no more. They're taped together and have a bunch of wires attached. I just disconnected the wires, taped over their ends and coiled them up. I also think that the On Star is connected to the TWICE which would detect break in or airbags but I'm not sure. No Tech 2 required for disconnect.
