Water or coolant added, makes no difference that you do have a leak. Best solution is a 50/50 water/coolant mix.
Highly suggest not putting any cooling system sealant in. Stuff will clog up the banjo bolt fittings going to your turbocharger and also within your heater core fins. Get a cooling system pressure tester to help track where your leak is at.
