I assume that you are talking about the black bushing with red clip (P/N 55557389) in intake manifold that the rigid plastic brake booster pipe fit into?
Did you replace the whole black bushing in intake with the new or did you just gut the new one and took the o-ring and red clip out and moved over to the intake?
The whole bushing is quite difficult to replace and it works perfect to just use the o-ring and clip in the old setting and that should be enough to keep the pipe in place.
